A Visit from Grammy and Grandpa

Grammy and Grandpa came to the 'Toon last week. Little did they know when they booked their trip that the week they selected would be one of our busiest on record. The week revolved around hockey and coordinating ourselves around the boys' busy schedules (made even busier than normal with extra powerskating sessions - we were on the ice with the boys 8 times while they were here). Pete is an Assistant Coach on Josh's team and I'm the Manager of Ethan's team so it was nice to not have to juggle Leah (aka Rink Rat Extraordinaire) between us for a week. When we weren't at the rink, we managed to squeeze in some other fun - lots of street hockey and backyard soccer, swimming, public skating, and a trip to the Pumpkin Maze. Mom even managed to win at Settlers one night! Their visit also coincided with Pete's last week of work at Areva (he starts a new job at Claude Resources on November 1) and there were going-away parties that I was able to join in on thanks to my folks being here. Needless to say, we sure enjoyed having built-in babysitters for a week but next time we'll have to try and pick a less crazy week! Thanks for visiting, Grammy and Gramps!
