Josh loses his first tooth!

Yesterday was a long time coming for Josh. He's patiently listened to countless tales of tooth fairy visits from every one of this toothless-grinning classmates. He's tried to be happy by the dentist's reassurance that baby teeth that hang on the longest are the healthiest. He's even tried to be happy for his little sister who already has her first loose tooth. But Josh has been wondering for a long time when his time would finally come. Well yesterday was finally the big day!! We are currently at the cottage and Josh was shocked by a quick shot of pain when he bit into an apple mid-morning. He ran over to me and I confirmed it was definitely a true "wiggler". He worked on it all day and was ready to let Dad pull it out after dinner. Surprisingly, it didn't come to that. Josh was eating a piece of watermelon for dessert and suddenly yelled out, "my tooth!!"and held it up for all to see! He was so excited to put his tooth under his pillow and was extremely pumped to find a toonie and a note from the tooth fairy under his pillow this morning. Congrats on losing your first tooth Josh!
