Once Upon a Time there was a Big Pile of Mud...

We have officially broken ground on the new house. I'll post updates here as we make progress throughout the summer.

April 9 - thanks to an early Spring, we got started 11 days ahead of schedule.
Pete (who is also our general contractor) scoping out our expensive new hole.
April 16 - boarded up and ready to start pouring the foundation.
April 17 - a quick drive by and excited to see a Lafarge truck busy at work.

April 17 - brought the kids by after hours to scope things out. Yep, this is getting real now!

April 21 - foundation is poured.

April 21 - looking east.

April 23 - extra insulation

May 23 - framing has begun
May 29 - it's going up quickly now!
June 1 - (how did that get in here?) surprising Mom with birthday moose antlers at Montana's!
June 10 - windows and doors are in

July 12 - Pete surprised me upon my return from Ontario with our initials carved into the basement slab.  Guess we're stuck with each other now!

July 18 - stucco is starting

August 27 - what a difference a month makes - stucco and stone both done!
