A Healthy Visit From Zia...

I am pleased to announce that we successfully got through a visit from Zia (Pete's sister, Sue) without someone getting sick or being hospitalized!!! The fact that she was only in town for 36 hours is completely irrelevant... (haha).



Anyhoo, it was a brief visit but an awesome one. She arrived Friday evening and left Sunday morning which meant we had to cram a whole lot of fun into Saturday. Fortunately the weather behaved and we managed to spend most of the day outside.



The morning was spent at the park up the street. Ethan has become a little prankster lately and was thoroughly impressed with himself when he coaxed Pete over to the tire swing and didn't warn him of the impending soaker.



The boys also had fun riding their scoooters around the new Splash Park (stay tuned for the grand opening in June):





Ethan carefully chose and christened his "pee tree" which will no doubt get plenty of "watering" this summer!



After lunch and quiet time, we took Sue to the river and did a 5 km loop across the railroad bridge and back over the Circle Drive bridge.





Not sure if Graco realizes that their single strollers can easily be converted into doubles... piggybacks and shoulder rides only got us so far!



The rest of Sue's visit was filled with card and board games. The boys had a bit of trouble saying goodbye, but she'll fortunately be back again for another weekend at the beginning of May.

Leah continues to grow like a weed and is quickly outgrowing her "baby phase" (aaaahhhh - somebody please press "pause...!).



We spend countless hours riding our bikes and scooters in the driveway. Leah loves being pushed around by the boys in the umbrella stroller. This was where she spent her evening nap yesterday while we ate dinner.



The weather has been positively balmy all week (going up to 18 tomorrow apparently!) so most of the snow in these pictures has already melted - including the giant swimming pool in our backyard that was once our rink! YAY! We're off to Calgary tomorrow morning for Easter with Nonni and Nonno. Hopefully Leah travels well!

In other news, my brother Brian and sister-in-law Karen welcomed their 3rd baby yesterday: Adrienne Grace Corneil. We've had a couple of chats on Skype (thank goodness for technology) and can't wait to meet her this summer.
