"The Shark"

Ethan wasn't impressed with the nickname, but he was known as "the shark" for well over a month. His first loose tooth was a little stubborn and wiggled and wiggled for so long that his adult tooth got tired of waiting for it to fall out and grew up behind it. Upon our arrival in Calgary, Nonno gave us some tips from his vast teeth-pulling experience and we got a little more aggressive in our yanking attempts. Finally on July 2nd the little sucker shocked both Ethan and me when it came out with a gentle Mommy tug. So the tooth fairy finally had her chance to make an appearance and left both a toonie and a "Fun Factory" coin. Ethan's still scratching his head to figure out how she knew he was from Saskatoon and a Fun Factory fan. Here are some pictures of our toothless wonder:




Our Calgary visit was the perfect ending to our West Coast Adventure. Pete and Aldo went for a big (~115 kms I think?) bike ride on the Friday and we spent most of Saturday down at Bowness Park barbequing, playing soccer and chasing the kiddos at the park.



We've wasted no time getting back into the swing of things now that we're home. Saskatoon is a great city year-round, but is unparalleled in the summer. There are so many free activities for the kids that I find I'm actually having trouble scheduling our weeks to try and fit it all in. The Soccer Association offers free organized soccer at various parks every day (run by a couple of the University's soccer coaches/players). The kids (and... ahem... I) are enjoying it so much that we're following them around to the various parks and have played a game of soccer every day this week!
