A Milestone for Josh

Hockey is completely dominating our lives these days and WE LOVE IT!! Ethan is in Novice this year and his team is called the Redwing Wolfpack. It's been an intense start to the season with tons of practices and powerskating sessions (he's averaging 3-4 times per week on the ice) but all the hard work seems to be paying off. His first game was last week and he scored 2 goals. I have a feeling I might be making a few hattrick cakes this year! But perhaps not just for Ethan...



... Mr Josh has also entered the crazy Redwing hockey world (background: the city is split up into 6 or 7 zones and we live in the "Redwing zone" - which is unfortunately pretty notorious for hard-core-hockey-breeding but so far we've managed to avoid too much craziness aside from scheduling creativity). He is in first year Initiation (aka Tyke) and his team is called the Redwing Huskies. He's also been treated to 3 ice times per week and has already improved tremendously since the start of the year. His team played their first real game tonight... on full ice... the final score was 3-3... and GUESS WHO GOT HIS FIRST GOAL??? ON A WRAP-AROUND!!! Not sure who was more excited - the somewhat surprised goal scorer, the older brother who went absolutely ballistic, the assistant coach Daddy-o on the bench, or the crazy Mom who swore she wouldn't get caught up in the crazy hockey parent ways and whooped it up for all to hear!!!
