We took the trailer a whopping 40 kilometres down the road for 2 weeks of camping fun and had an absolute blast!! Pete was able to commute to and from work on his bike most days, which gave him a small semblance of being on vacation. The kids were enrolled in swimming lessons which kicked off our days every morning. The rest of the days were filled with beach time, mini-golf, bike rides, park visits, mini-golf, Olympics-watching, more pool time, and oh did I mention mini-golf??!??! Ethan's mood was entirely dependent on how many mini-golf games he played on any given day and he thankfully showed incredible maturity, responsibility and independence which we were able to reward with trips by himself to the campground course. We had fellow camping friends with us both weeks and were grateful that they have equipped their trailers with televisions so we even managed to catch some of the Olympics at fireside in the evenings.
