From Winter to Summer Over Night

It was a record long winter and we were still shoveling snow late into April.  It was depressing.  Spring sports were delayed by 2 weeks and people were cancelling camping trips and preparing for flooding.  Then the craziest thing happened.  May arrived and with it came summer.  Temperatures went from daily averages of -5C to +20C literally over night and we've wasted no time soaking up the rays and spending every waking minute outside.  The trampoline is up, the trailer is back in our driveway, the garden is planted, Pete is commuting to work on his bike, and summer sports are in full swing!

We had to get creative with the late winter.  Here Josh is celebrating his first time beating me at bowling!

All 3 kids have finally started playing outdoor soccer.  Leah is now playing U6 and completely held her own at her first game in spite of being a full head shorter than all the other kids!!

The boys are also playing lacrosse together on Thursday nights.  We've found a great field lacrosse league and are enjoying meeting new people and learning more about our national sport!
