Happy 3rd Birthday Josh!

Josh turned 3 on August 28th and matured overnight. He can now sit down with Ethan and play a game of Uno or Sorry without any assistance from an adult. In the weeks leading up to his birthday he became fully toilet trained. He starts preschool next Wednesday. Swimming lessons start the following weekend. He dresses himself. He eats bananas like they're going out of style. He is a funny, thoughtful, and wonderful little boy. Bottom line, he is no longer a toddler and I'm trying not to hyperventilate...



His birthday was a great day from start to finish. He woke up to some early morning presents, including a new carseat from Grammy and Grandpa (who were in town for a visit) which came complete with a huge box that is still the favourite toy in the playroom!



We had a picnic lunch at Kinsmen Park, which we coincidentally discovered on Ethan's 3rd birthday when we had come to Saskatoon on our house-hunting expedition!!! It was pretty neat to be there with my parents celebrating Josh's 3rd birthday when we'd been there with Pete's parents almost 2 years earlier celebrating Ethan's 3rd birthday.

The birthday party was held at our favourite pool later that evening and we swam for an hour with all his friends before heading to the preschool room for pizza and cake. Here are some more pictures from the big day:
