Fun at the West Edmonton Mall

We took the kids out of school for a couple of days this week and went to the West Edmonton Mall for some family fun. Sue (who has now moved to Calgary) met us for the first day which we spent at the Waterpark. Ethan worked up the nerve and ventured down the 2 biggest waterslides that were open that day (one of which was rated as "Advanced"). After he'd done it, the 3 adults took turns trying to keep up with him. He's already asking when we can go back...





Day 2 was spent at the amusement park. Josh was fearless and willing to go on anything but was disappointed on more than one occasion when he was told he was too little (picture a stomp, an arm swing and an emphatic "dang nab it!"). He still had a great time but is also counting down the days until we can go back because he's sure he'll be big enough by then! Ethan worked up the courage to try some of the bigger rides and ventured on a couple of rollercoasters at the end of the day. Leah watched on with envy and cheered every time her brothers zoomed by. Pete and I are hopeful we've passed on the crazy-for-rollercoasters gene!!!









In other news, January has been a particulary mild month in the Paris of the Prairies and we've had a ball playing outside. A few more recent pictures to share...
