Ethan just played his last hockey game of the season and has his wind-up party this afternoon. He's currently in the kitchen writing thank you notes to all of his coaches. I can't believe this is the same kid who in September had to be bribed to skate even one lap of the rink. Now he is sad on days when we're not going skating and has to be bribed to come off the ice! I'll downplay the fact that he's now faster than me! This afternoon he scored his 3rd goal (for the statisticians out there, his first career goal was just 2 games ago on March 4th). He had a terrific team and great coaches, and we're thrilled to see how much he loves the game.
In other news, there has never been a need for coercion when it comes to Ethan and swimming. Last Monday he passed his "Whale" level and has finished all swimming lessons available to kids under the age of 6. His teacher actually apologized to me that she couldn't fail him!! He'll now have to wait 6 months before he can take another lesson (which actually isn't a big deal because we only put the kids in swimming lessons in the fall and winter terms anyway).
