Christmas in the Toon

For the first time in 8 years, we celebrated Christmas with Grammy and Gramps.  The last Christmas we spent with them was our last Christmas in Sudbury.  Pete had just replaced our main floor with tile and hardwood flooring, and we were starting to plan for a big move (although we didn't know at the time that we were moving to Saskatoon - at that time, we were pretty sure we were moving to Mount Isa, Australia!!).

Apparently Grammy and Gramps know that when we start replacing flooring in our house, it means we're getting ready to list our house and embark on a big adventure.  While we're not moving quite as far this time, it is a nice tradition to celebrate our last Christmas in each of our houses with them.  That said, there are no guarantees that our new house will be finished in time for next Christmas, so they may have to plan another trip to the Toon next December!

At any rate, we had a lovely two weeks together.  They were able to see each of the kids play some hockey/ringette, caught some Christmas concerts, and enjoy some time on the rink.  Here are some pictures from their visit:

Christmas dinner - which was no small feat to get on the table due to a discovered leak in the basement coming from the kitchen sink!  The repair had to wait until Boxing Day because all the stores were closed.  We had to use the bathroom sink most of the day!!
